Creating a Community that Honors
Our Expertise
Some History
Although the exact date of the creation of the Lonoke Cemetery is unknown, we know that it has been in existence for over 145 years. The earliest recorded date in the city's history was April 10, 1879 when the Lonoke Democrat reported that the first tombstone had been placed at the new cemetery

A goal of the Lonoke Cemetery Association is to foster a sense of community at the Lonoke Cemetery. In 2024, to honor those that have served in the armed services, we began the placement of US flags at the grave site of veterans on Memorial Day. We have veterans that served from the Civil War to Desert Storm buried in our cemetery. We hope to begin celebrating an annual Decoration Day in the near future, as well as engaging youth from our local schools to help with repairs and projects at the cemetery.

The Lonoke Cemetery Association depends on donations to maintain the Lonoke Cemetery. All donations are tax deductible. If you wish to donate, you may do so by sending your check to
P.O. Box 761 Lonoke, AR or by online payment. If you wish to volunteer at the cemetery, please contact any board member listed on our contact page.
